A lifelong artist and entrepreneur, Alise loves nothing more than an adventure down a road not taken. This spirit of adventure and love of mystery has led Alise to explore new ways of making art by marrying what she loves most which is nature, photography, and working with new technologies to achieve what she sees in her imagination and feels in her bones.
I realized that this blog has been ignored for quite some time as I've been venturing into new areas, including writing a novel! More to come on that. Im still making art and have always loved the Orobouros.

If I could sum up my philosophy of life in a few words it would be this- Try Something New!
Life is short so take that trip, experiment a bit, there is lots to see, lots to make, lots of experiences to have that will create great memories.

Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all ~ Helen Keller
One of my all time favorite quotes! And yes life does continue to be a daring adventure. New artwork is coming through in a way I have not experienced in quite some time. Here is a sneak peak.
This piece is called Night Magic and it is an example of a style I call Magical Realism. I have combined my photographs and digital painting. Having fun over here- hoping this lights you up too!

VIDA is an exciting partner that is featuring my artwork on some unique and beautiful clothing and accessory items. Here are a few photos of the designs...many more available, check it out, I have purchased many of the designs and absolutely love the quality and fabric- you will too!
I returned a few days ago from a most amazing trip to the North Rim of The Grand Canyon as well as Zion and Bryce Canyon. How can I I describe this?? If you have not been plan to go and if you have, well then you know my search for words could take awhile. So as usual I default to my most well developed sense- creativity (is it a sense- hmmm?) Here is a piece I did when I returned- we saw some beautiful Buffalo on the way to the North Rim- crazing in a meadow surrounded by gorgeous trees. This is called The prayer to White Buffalo. I dedicate this to the victims and families of the horrible Orlando Masacre.
