The show season is over and we are working on a wonderful variety of orders from so many different types of stores and catalogs around the world. Australia loves Wishnest and our distributor there has become one of our best customers. UK is heating up too. And all around the US and Canada customers are very responsive to the positive messages they communicate. Business is good, life is good and we are so very, very grateful!

Abundance

Everyones definition of abundance is different, for some it is money in the bank, a garden filled with flowers and fresh vegetables, or a family filled with children and lot's of love. All of these things add richness to life. I try to recognize abundance in all its forms not just the green paper kind. Doing what I love, creating and working with people I enjoy being around in my own company is very rich. And from this our new golden eggs of Abundance are born.

Really excited about the upcoming gifts shows in Atlanta, New York, SF, Seattle and LA. Going to be a busy time and we have many new products to introduce. One of my new favorites is the Blooming Heart Necklace. It speaks volumes about how I feel when I get to design and sell my work- I am definitely doing what I love!

San Francisco show was great, and Atlanta was through the roof! Best show ever and we are still the booth that is buzzing. So fun and hoping that will continue. I keep creating new products and they keep selling.

I really feel that this year will take us to a whole new level. Amazing how far we've come and I have really big dreams for this company. I have a wonderful team which makes this all possible!

We are moving from New York Newest on the Piers over to Javitz North Hall- in Handmade. Pretty tough to get in over there- they have a jury and a long waitlist -an exciting move and we hope a great show this year. So many fun new products to debut. Stop by and see us!

A moment to breathe and reflect

This is always the time of year when I like to stop and really look back at what the year has given me in terms

of gifts, lessons and challenges too. Mostly there have been gifts- the success of my business has been truly magical- and of course with that growth has come many lessons and more challenges than I would have liked, but together they have made up one of the most amazing years of my life. I am truly grateful.
Finding this tree in Santa Barbara recently was one of my favorite things this year- now these are roots!

Our new website has been a long time coming and I have the most amazing people helping me to get it launched! Barbara Stepka is a great photographer, copywriter and all around dependable person- thanks Barbara, the site will be awesome because of you! I am designing a Mezuzah holder- right in line with my house blessing line. Jewish folks have a strong tradition of blessings in their homes and so when I was presented with the inspiration and ideas from The Retail Director at the National Jewish History Museum In Philadelphia I decided to go for it- they will be on the new website.

4th of July and I am sitting on my deck watching the finches and hummingbirds come and go. Beautiful day and I am enjoying some down time.
Atlanta gift show is next week, Dallas last week- and still have New York and SF to go. Great success so far- its been an amzing year of double digit growth (not bad in a tough economy) We have fun new products like our Sonoma Craft Wine Accessory line- being very well recieved! All for now, cheers!

Spring Collection Trunk show coming up in March

I have a Jewery Trunk Show scheduled for March 13th and 14th at The Flamingo Hotel, Santa Rosa. This time it will be held jointly with Barbara Friday who has a fantastic line of clothing. She used to own a store in Mongomery Village and now has trunk shows every few months. I am looking forward to this event with her- come on by and see what's new for both of us.
The hours are 10-7 Friday and 9-5 Saturday. The hotel is at Farmers lane and 4th St in Santa Rosa.

It's finally raining!

Finally we are getting some rain here in Healdsburg- after some amazing weather which we guiltily enjoyed. The coast was awesome in January.

I have another trunk show booked for April- will be fun, Sonoma Chocolatiers and Stark Wines will be joining me and also it is a fundraiser event- more info to follow. I won a Best of Show award for a piece I had in the Plaza Arts exhibit for January- pretty cool- definitely motivated me to keep moving ahead and creating. I am in nthe process of applying for shows for next year, trying to decide which shows are best. I have heard Kings Mountain and Berkekey Oaks are good shows, I will also apply for the Wholesale Crafts Show in Las Vegas called ACRE. Will be an interesting year. The nests are getting good traction-hope to be able top make enough to keep up!

Holiday temptations

I am bracing myself for a season of deserts and other empty calories that I should probably refrain from but will not. Somehow indulging goes along with Christmas and New Years, not really sure why its so hard to resist but maybe because I am celebrating having made it through another crazy year. Tonight I go to The ABWA Christmas party- will be fun! I made a great new necklace for the event- will get a photo up soon!

Holiday Happenings

My jewelry and nests are now in Plaza Arts Gallery in Healdsburg and will be there through end of January. Two recent trunk shows were very successful and fun, one in Nov. was called Jewelry, Wine and Chocolate and we had a great chocolatier, David Gambill from Sonoma Chocolatiers and Jen Stark from Stark Winery poured her fabulous Syrah and Viogner. In fact I will be at the Stark Winery holiday event selling my jewelry next week, Dec 7.
My Wishnests have evolved and I am now casting thenm in pewter, they are really lovely. Still working out some final details before taking orders. The feedback lately on my jewelry and nests has been quite encouraging and sales are strong. Looking into which wholesale shows to do next year and I am zeroing in on one in Las Vegas in May called ACRE, American Crafts Show.
My husband Peter is spending alot of time getting my work up on a few other sites like Etsay and Trunkt which specialize in handmade items and new designers. My website ois coming along..check it out at http://www.asheehan.com/

Exciting News!

My jewelry is now being carried at Limestone in Healdsburg, owned by Lisa and Charlie Palmer who is the chef at Dry Creek Kitchen, a four star restaurant in Healdsburg, Limestone is right across from the restaurant. They just started to carry jewelry and I am their first line. The Plaza Arts event I was in 3 weeks ago went very well, apparently I was the top seller, pretty amazing and inspring. Coming up I have a trunk show in SF and one at my house in Nov., and I will be in the Holiday Gift Gallery at Plaza Arts Gallery from Nov. 21 to DEc 31,2008. Recycled Computer Parts?

These are all handmade one of a kind pieces and most are made from a very special process that uses alchemy to transform metal clay into 99.9% silver. This metal clay was created by a Japanese company using the small amounts of precious metals, silver or gold, from recycled computer parts. This is one of the aspects of this jewelry that I find to be special, nothing ever really leaves the planet, it just changes forms and the idea that we can turn waste into something beautiful is a great metaphor for how we can live on this planet and turn the destruction in a different direction. Creating beauty is what I love to do most, whether it is jewelry, sculpture, or interior design. I love to create and feel grateful that my creations bring joy into people's lives.
